Top Youth Player Travels From India To Train At Academy!

One of the top youth basketball players in India, Divyam Jain, traveled to the Pat The Roc Academy to train for 2 weeks.  Each day he participated in 2 vigorous workouts consisting of ball-handling, shooting, footwork, conditioning, and defense.  His hard work and dedication proves that his future on the basketball court is very bright!

Witness 3rd Grade Prodigy Jaelon Germany aka "The Chosen One" working with pro trainer Pat The Roc at the Academy. Jaelon is currently ranked the No. 1 basketball player in the nation for the Class of 2026. Jaelon's dedication, humility and old school work ethic has made him extremly domininat force on the court at such a young age. He runs with Nike RM5 Elite (TX) @RM5Nike which is the one of the most prestigious AAU programs in the country. Univ. Of Nebraska Commit Xavier Johnson Training At The Academy!

Xavier Johnson of Bishop O'connell is one of the top ranked guards in the nation.  His ability to break down defenders and score the ball effortlessly earned him a scholarship to the University Of Nebraska.  Xavier has been spending his offseason at the Pat The Roc Skills Academy putting in work with Coach Pat The Roc as he prepares for his senior season of high school.  Coach Pat first worked with Xavier when he was 10 years old, as he attended one of his signature camps.  It's been amazing to watch his growth as a player!

Quinn Cook Signs With The Atlanta Hawks!

We are excited to announce Pat The Roc Skills Academy ambassador Quinn Cook has signed to play this NBA season with the Atlanta Hawks!  Quinn's relentless hard work and dedication has truly paid off.  After a stint in the D-League, Quinn was picked up by the Dallas Mavericks and finished off the 2017 season with the New Orleans Pelicans.  Quinn spent his summer in the academy, putting in countless reps of shots and dribbling drills with long time trainer Pat The Roc.  The remarkable thing about Quinn is his humble and hungry demeanor.  After each workout he takes pictures with every kid, signs every autograph, and answers every question.  He truly is a inspiration to the next generation of ballers at the academy.  After an amazing summer, Quinn inked a long term deal with the Atlanta Hawks.  We look forward to seeing him display his skills this 2017-2018 NBA season!

Athletes Travel From Switzerland To Train With Pat The Roc!

The Pat The Roc Skills Academy has made an impact on the game of basketball globally.  Our facility attracts some of the best talent in the world.  This summer over 20 of the top basketball players from Switzerland traveled to Maryland to train at the academy for 2 weeks!  They participated in 3 training sessions a day and learned a variety of fundamentals to take back to Switzerland!

WNBA legend Ticha Penicheiro stopped by the Pat The Roc Basketball Skills Academy to share her amazing journey on the basketball court.  Ticha is the all-time leading assist record holder of the WNBA.  Her passing ability was compared to some of the greatest, such as Magic Johnson and Jason Williams.  Her advice to kids was to dream big and never quit on your goals!

Aquille Carr was hailed as the #1 high school basketball player in the nation!  It is said that whenever Aquille had a game, the city streets of Baltimore were empty, because the entire community would pile into the gym to watch his game.  Following in the steps of NBA legend, Mugsy Bogues, Aquille's stats prove that height doesn't matter.  Aquille took time to share his story to the youth of the Pat The Roc Basketball Skills Academy, letting them know adversity can be used as motivation.  Aquille believes that his mindset will allow him to accomplish his dream of the NBA.  He is now preparing for his tryout with the Houston Rockets!
